ABOUT

Tech-Innovation Development Programme

The key ingredients to advance and leapfrog Information Technology (IT) development in any country are research and innovations.  As the foremost IT body, Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) continued to show commitment to the research and innovation development in Nigeria. Recently, NCS has shown renewed commitment to the development of rigorous and smart innovative ideas for the economic empowerment of the nation

Our Pitched Applications

Altclan is an e-commerce platform designed to buy and sell exclusively rare, unique and special fashion items.
The business objective is to cretae income from connecting sellerss of alte fashion items to buyers using the aAltclan webapp.
Altclain is posed generate income, in the form of fees and commissions from suppliers and buyers of goods, who subscribe to the platform and/or advertise trendy fashion products and events.

At altclan, we believe that fashion should be a form of self-expression, not just a way t fit in with the crowd. That’s why we are set to offer a range of alternative, anti-mainstream styles that are perfect for the young and daring on our platform.

This project encompasses a multidisciplinary approach to the reduction of waste disposal by developing an intelligent system for waste disposal collection and utilization with little supervision within a community.
We plan to achieve this with the following methods:
• Development of an intelligent waste bin for waste collection embedded with a GPS (Global positioning system) module for location detection and a compass module for designated efficient positioning plus proper movement guidance coupled with computer vision a highly intelligent obstacle avoidance functionality.
• Development of a trained community layout using machine learning for the microcontroller via data captured from Maps.
• Development of a central integration platform for real-time visualization of processes and networks on bins.
• Designing a general waste tank for collective dumping of all collected wastes.
• Developing and validating a re-routing network for the wastes to go for recycling and biogas use.

GreenHurb is an innovative online platform that addresses the pressing issues of food security, sustainability, and economic empowerment in urban areas of Nigeria. With urbanization on the rise, it is estimated that by 2050, nearly 68% of the global population will reside in cities (United Nations, 2019). This rapid urban growth poses challenges to food accessibility and quality, making sustainable urban agriculture crucial.
The platform provides a convenient and accessible way for households to purchase freshly grown produce directly from their neighbours. This reduces food waste and increases access to healthy and nutritious food in urban areas. Approximately one-third of the food produced globally goes to waste, contributing to economic losses and environmental degradation (FAO, 2019).

GreenHUrb aims to tackle this issue by optimizing the distribution and utilization of surplus produce, thereby minimizing waste and generating economic value for urban gardeners and farmers.

By facilitating direct transactions between urban households and household farmers, GreenHUrb contributes to economic empowerment and the reduction of income inequality. The FAO highlights that urban agriculture can generate employment opportunities, improve livelihoods, and stimulate local economies (FAO, 2013). GreenHUrb’s platform creates a marketplace where urban gardeners and farmers can monetize their produce, fostering economic growth within the community.

GreenHUrb aims to empower urban households in Nigeria by leveraging technology and community connections to enable the exchange of fresh produce, knowledge, and resources. By promoting sustainable urban farming practices, enhancing food accessibility, and fostering economic empowerment, GreenHUrb strives to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs and create a resilient and sustainable future for urban communities.

H-Smart is an integrated system that enhances patient experience and reduces unnecessary waiting time. The system will incorporate features such as appointment scheduling, doctor-patient communication, rating capabilities, complaint management, and provision of quick first aid or prescriptions

The implementation of this integrated healthcare system (H-Smart) will require collaboration between healthcare providers, regulatory authorities and team H-Smart.
H-ssmart will bring about the following;
– Improved Patient Experience: Patients will have the convenience of scheduling appointments at their preferred time, efficient communication with doctors, and the ability to provide feedback, ultimately enhancing their overall healthcare experience.

– Reduction in Waiting Times: By enabling online appointment scheduling and facilitating remote consultations for minor health concerns, the system will significantly reduce unnecessary waiting times, allowing patients to receive timely care.

– Enhanced Quality of Care: The rating system and complaint management features will promote accountability and encourage healthcare providers to continuously improve their services, leading to enhanced quality of care and patient satisfaction.

– Efficient Resource Allocation: By optimizing the utilization of healthcare resources, such as doctors’ time and appointment slots, the integrated system will contribute to more efficient resource allocation, reducing strain on the healthcare system.
