TIDP 2023: CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

Participation Requirements

As part of the series of programme to promote innovation and research in Nigeria, NCS introduced Tech-Innovation Development Programme (TIDP) to provide necessary supports and enabling environment for developing innovative ideas in Information Technology. The Tech-Innovation Development programme is to provide support for the development of innovative solutions, tools and technologies for enhancing the growth of the nation.

TIDP is funded from NCS Tech-Innovation Development Fund (NTIDF) of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS). Individuals and corporate organisations are expected to contribute to the fund.

Requirements

  • Team participation only is required
  • A team must not be more than three people (Female participation is encouraged)
  • Applications are only invited from young innovators, tech start-ups, students and young academic researchers
  • An applicant must be a graduate or current student in any tertiary institution
  • Must demonstrate strong ability to development tech-based systems
  • Applicants should be below 35 years of age
  • Applications can only be submitted online

Selection Procedure

  • Submitted applications will be evaluated based on novelty, economic relevance, feasibility, requisite knowledge and experience
  • Initial shortlisted teams will contacted after the preliminary screening by the committee
  • There will be two pitching to select the best innovative teams
  • The final teams will be selected after the second pitching
  • The decision of the TIDP Parnel on selection is final
