The key ingredients to advance and leapfrog Information Technology (IT) development in any country are research and innovations.  As the foremost IT body, Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) continued to show commitment to the research and innovation development in Nigeria. Recently, NCS has shown renewed commitment to the development of rigorous and smart innovative ideas for the economic empowerment of the nation,

As part of the series of programme to promote innovation and research in Nigeria, NCS has introduced Tech-Innovation Development Programme (TIDP) to provide necessary supports for developing innovative ideas in Information Technology.

TIDP is to provide support for the development of innovative solutions, tools and technologies for enhancing the growth of the nation. The fund for the Tech-Innovation Development Programme shall be from the NCS Tech-Innovation Development Fund (NTIDF).

The Tech-Innovation Development Fund is to support individuals in the private or public organizations willing to conduct developmental research and innovations in Information Technology.

Individuals and Corporate organizations are to donate to this fund. Currently, Zinox Technologies, is the only organisation that has contributed to this fund.
